When you color try to avoid hunching over a table. Instead, use a large hardback book to prop your page up at an angle or if you have a study you can even treat yourself to a drawing board. Make sure you support your back in a good chair. When you have been lost in your coloring for a while, make sure that when you break to stretch out your hands you also do some simple back stretching exercises too. Place your hands behind your head, lean back and stretch your lower back.
You need to invest in your coloring hobby to reap the rewards! I don’t mean you need to go spend your life savings on the most expensive art supplies or furnish part of your house with an art studio, I mean spend the time to allow yourself to become better at coloring. Most things in life take practice and coloring is no exception.
As well as finding somewhere you can relax, make sure that you are also looking after your eyes, wrist and back when you are coloring. Being hunched over a coloring book for a couple of hours may produce a beautiful work of art, but if you aren’t careful you could end up straining your eye-sight, back and wrists!
